Ensuring that your pet receives the best quality care when they need it most.

Emergency situations are always stressful and worrying for pet owners. Our experienced veterinary team is here to provide rapid and attentive emergency care to your beloved companion, with a focus on their safety and recovery. Whether it is an accident, an injury or a sudden illness, we can support you through the critical moments and provide medical assistance adapted to your pet’s individual needs.

Please note that our clinic offers emergency care during regular opening hours only. If you are concerned about the health or safety of your pet outside these hours, here is a list of 24-hour emergency vet centres in the Montréal area:

Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vétérinaire – Hôpital des animaux de compagnie (Saint-Hyacinthe)
Centre Vétérinaire DMV (Several locations: Montréal (Lachine), Blainville, St-Hubert et Ottawa)
Centre Vétérinaire Rive–Sud (Brossard)
Centre Vétérinaire Laval (Laval)

What types of situations may require emergency care for my pet?

Emergency situations for pets may include injuries from a car accident, a bite from another animal or a fracture, or they may be a sudden or serious illness such as a seizure, breathing problems or persistent vomiting. Any sign of distress, pain or abnormal behaviour may be an indication that your pet needs emergency care. If in doubt, contact us by phone to talk to a member of our team. They will be able to advise you and give you their professional opinion of the situation.

What should I do in case of an emergency with my pet?

In case of an emergency with your pet, it is important to stay calm and contact our clinic right away. Our veterinary team will give you instructions to perform first aid on your pet if necessary. We will then ask you to come to the clinic as soon as possible for an assessment and emergency care.

If our clinic is closed at the time, please go to one of the emergency vet centres listed above, calling ahead to notify them of your arrival.
