Since childhood, I have dreamed of caring for animals. At the time, I wanted to save all the animals in Tunisia by imagining a large farm where I could welcome them, provide them with food, and offer them a better life. This passion, combined with my interest in science and animal research, naturally led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I graduated from the National School of Veterinary Medicine of Sidi Thabet in Tunisia in 2002.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to practice in several areas of veterinary medicine, including companion animal medicine, rural veterinary medicine, and poultry medicine. In 2012, I obtained a specialty diploma in companion animal and sports animal medicine and surgery, before continuing my training in veterinary surgery. I also taught veterinary surgery in Tunisia for seven years, an experience that greatly enriched me both professionally and personally. I later chose to move to Canada to complete the equivalency process while gaining additional experience through internships in France, the United States, and Canada.
Today, surgery is the area of veterinary medicine that inspires me the most. I enjoy helping families keep their companions healthy, taking on new medical challenges, continuing to learn every day, and working alongside colleagues who share the same passion and love for animals. Although I sometimes miss teaching, I find great fulfillment in the important mission we have of helping our patients, who have become true members of our families.
At home, I share my life with my two domestic cats, Warda and Luna, as well as my Chihuahua, T-Rex. I also cherish the memories of Rex and Papillon, two companions who left a lasting mark on my life. If you meet me at the clinic, you may discover my hidden talent: making people laugh unintentionally with my jokes… even when they are a little silly!
